About Me

When I was in kindergarten, my teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I proudly answered “popsicle girl!”  Keep in mind it was the 80’s, in Memphis, TN.  I’m pretty sure this was a huge feminist and progressive stand against the sexist and exclusionary title of “ice-cream man.” I see this moment as the first time I publicly stepped out of the box the world had made and proudly stood outside on my own two feet.

While my career choice did not stick for long, the pattern of always thinking differently remains with me today.  I am an unconventional thinker, problem solver and educator. I’ve never met a problem I didn’t jump to untangle, simplify and solve.  I see the world of education as just one big ball of yarn, waiting to be untangled. It is good yarn, worth saving to make something beautiful, it just needs some time, energy, patience, and resilience (and maybe an easy-to-follow pattern) to become the sweater dreams are made of. I yearn to create well designed, well thought out learning experiences and want to help bring that to others- let me help you untangle that yarn and make a sweater!

In various leadership positions, I have managed the development of in-person and online educational programs from the research, to design, to implementation, and finally, to evaluation. Through these experiences I have seen how users best interact with information and how to measure these successes. Ideation and innovation are my wheelhouse, because what “popsicle girl” wouldn’t love that stuff?!?!  In addition, I have freelanced as a graphic designer, so while creating exciting and engaging learning is always my goal, how it looks and is organized is equally important to success.

While traveling the world is where I like to be, I currently live in Ra’anana, Israel with my awesome husband and our two creative spitfire daughters.
